Why YAML?

YAML is a superset-friendly, human-readable format popular for Kubernetes manifests, GitHub Actions, Docker Compose and app settings. JSON is valid YAML in most parsers, but native YAML with indentation and dashes is far easier to review in pull requests.

If you need the reverse direction later, format the result with the JSON formatter once you convert it back. Always validate with the JSON validator before pasting into production configs.
